With an average of 280 sunny days per year, Knysna's warm, temperate climate makes it the perfect all-year-round destination. Summers are moderately hot and winters generally mild due to the Mediterranean climate. The average summer temperature during the day is 22°C (72.6°F) which falls to 14°C (57°F) at night. In the mid-winter months (June, July and August), days are often mild and warm (19°C / 66°F) but when the sun sets, the air becomes crisp and cold.
